I would pay someone a commission to do an AMV to Yasunori Mitsuda's Star-Stealing Girl if I thought that was allowed. It'd also be good to see some more Alice in Chains, and I'm -amazed- there aren't more good Eminem videos. I'm not a huge fan, but I do enjoy his music, and thought he was popular enough to have more good vids. And keep the Rammstein coming. Also I know it goes without saying, but Realmedia/quicktime/DBZ/various(songs or anime) need not apply, and I THINK every scene in every Eva has been used in at least fifty vids, but I could be mistaken. I also personally hate Jin-Roh's animation, but that one's just my opinion (and the rest I claim to be universal fact... lol). Just my $.02

Personally, I think there's a few too many Rammy vids by now.

But, that's an opinion.

What I'd like to see is some more vids to... well, just prog whatever. It'd be nice. It'd also be nice if we could search AMV's by music genres.

But, I digress....

There are too many from certain of their songs, I confess. But there could be a really good Der Meister or Laichzeid (spelling probably horribly incorrect) vid in someone's head. I also like the H2BH vids, but they're a pain to search for (all H2BH albums being effectively compilations in this regard and all) and people tend to do ThisIsWhatItLooksLikeWhenIWatchAShowWhileListeningToThisSong vids with no real rhyme or reason to them.

Eh, I can see searching by genre being very difficult to impliment, but I can't WAIT for filters. I could spend hours with every local, non-DBZ, non-RM, non-QT, non-various, non-Jin-Roh, non-Eva vid... Mmmmmmm... *drools*

Not only is making money for AMVs more illegal than making/distributing them, but it's also a big understood no-no in the AMV world. Kinda like fansubbing a licensed series.

Uh...no, as I saw people selling AMVs out in the open at Otakon. If it catches the interest of my oblivious self, you know it's obvious.

Anyway, I think he/she just meant a request, not for money.

I agree about the song genres... that would be nice. I'm usually not much for pigeonholing music, but sometimes I do want to look up something with, say, trip-hop without having to search for random artists.

Hehehe I'm male. I settled for a request because I thought it would be looked on poorly to commission one. Won't have the money to for a while anyway. Under $a couple hundred or so would just be insulting for that much work, and if I was going to spend more here, I'd make another donation. Anyway, I'd call it a 2% chance I planted a seed here, but I don't see it going up. *crosses fingers*

I take it back - people are selling AMVs openly on this forum and nobody seems to care. What's that about it being a no-no?
