How much money do you need in order to survive in college

Post by angelx03 » Mon Sep 08, 2003 7:02 pm

For me, I need at least $1000 for textbooks, food, school supplies, and grocery shopping (RIT has it's own little mini mart known as the Corner Store :P ).

hmmm . that's a tuff call - it depends on the College itself!

Prinston, Bohemoth, Colliar, . . 6 - $12,000.00 per year.

Iowa, Texas Tech, Michigan and Minnestoa ( U of M's ) are about 4 - $6,000.00 per year.

If you can live at home, that crop's off about 68% of the cost; books are about the same everywhere!

Hell yeah.

Dorms cost about 3 grand per year. Food is 2 grand (And I'm still 6'1" 145 lbs.) Tuition is more and more each year (but the sum total I/my parents have to pay is 15 grand for up to 124 [or so] credit hours).

too much is true.

$4800 Canadian tuition, ~$500 textbooks, $450 I pay to parents for food and shelter, and I also need to provide my own supplies, like a computer (which is to be bought in the near future), and whatever other expenses. If you think that's nothing, consider the fact that I'm mostly unemployed (except summer), paying my own way 100%, and that even when I am employed - hell, salaries in Canada are even lower than US, and for a student like me...

Basically, in my first year I ended up almost 12000 in the hole.
