Just wanted to pass along the results

Best Comedy

3rd) Tom the Fish's new video, cannot comment about it till after AWA Pro

2nd) Rumor Weed (Veggie Tales) - *Forgot the anime*

Best Drama

3rd) Carlos's new vid, cannot comment about it till after AWA Pro

2nd) Clocks (Coldplay) - Cowboy Bebop - Brandy Tirolleto

1st) Seasons in the Sun (Terry Jacks) - Grave of the Fireflies - Sotero Lopez (w00t!)

Best Action

The Negotiation Limerick File (Beastie Boys) - Naruto - Jason Wong

Oh Fortuna (Aphex Twin, Sarah Brightman, Therion) - Akira - Tyler Darko

The contest was run pretty porrly btw. The AMV contest winners were shown during the intermission of cosplay competition and the way they amplified the audio was....holding a microphone to the projector speaker.

Needless to say, it sounded absolutely horrendous.

Seems they had 3 separate conversion connections to link the vcr to the sound panel equipment, and one of the converter boxes in the chain fried, so they ghetto blasted the sound using a mic. And the result was extreme bass with the lyrics as background noise. My saving grace is people already saw the video or knew the song lyrics by heart.

BTW MJ, I talked to Mike and he said Idol-ology would have won comedy but you were disqualified because you already won drama ^_^

Yeah the audio sucked on my Naruto vid, you couldn't even understand the words. But it wasn't really their fault, apparently they just had really bad luck with the equipment.
