that might work but most of the ppl in my school are all into sports and stuff. Even my so call freinds made fun of me when i told them i like anime. When i showed them some they just said its "retarded" and "why do u watch cartoons u pussy". So now i try to keep it hiden from everyone at my school to keep the dignity i still have.

Hey,
Okay new plan...online dating service!
J-0080.
Yeah, that does suck. Though, like I said, I'm all but positive theres at least 1 person in your school who also like anime. Although finding that person does look like it might induce much laughing in your general direction.madmag9999 wrote:that might work but most of the ppl in my school are all into sports and stuff. Chances are they all probably have stuff that you'd think were off the wall...remind them of that...that might work but most of the ppl in my school are all into sports and stuff. Truth told, (in younger years) I had issues because everyone found out I liked anime which at the time involved Sailor Moon and I was mocked for it...but I didn't let it bug and just shrugged it off...in a "Whatever" kind of attitude...Now years later as I convert many of my friends and make new ones who like anime, they randomly buy me SM stuff cause they know I like it.
The others who still maintain their "Oh my God you like cartoons" learnt to shut up because they were being easily outnumbered all of a sudden
And why do you NEED a gf?? Like is this a life or death situation...strike out boy! Don't cower in front of your computer. <---And I say that in an inspirational voice as I point my righteous fist to the sky!

Hey i had a similar experiance and i tried to hid my love of anime for 3 years but one of my mates one day in maths class turns to me and saysmadmag9999 wrote:that might work but most of the ppl in my school are all into sports and stuff. "So have you ever seen this anime called Akira?"
and from then on i was realizing that some (not all) of my friends had matured enough to fink that not all cartoons are for kids, and i talk to them about it some of the time but anime is not all of my life.
Hey try introducing them to a sports anime or one with lots of swearing and violence/sex because this will delete the view of cartoons are for kids (hey it worked on my parents).
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

yea i know like 2 ppl who like anime in my school and were freinds. But still i would like my other friends to like it to. As for the ppl that make fun of me about it i dont really care, i just want to have some more ppl to talk to about anime. Thats why i stay in forums and chats becouse there i can actualy talk about anime without haveing to explain to ppl that i know will never listin anyway why its not a cartoon. i dont really NEED a gf i would just really like to have one.

yea thats how i convinced my sister and parents that its not cartoons. But my friends will not even give it a try, if they see its an anime they just bust jokes and dont even pay attention to whats going on.

Mr Pilkington was just jokeing, i am not. also the only other way for me to get one is to wait till im out of high school and then maybe in colege i could find one that likes or even understands anime. But i dont want to wait that long.

Here's an interesting thought. I saw this in the 4th episode of Boogiepop Phantom where this kid is trying to go out with this girl (or rape, I don't know) which directly related to this sims game he's playing on the computer.
Really though, go to a school dance or better yet go to a dance club. You'll get to meet a LOT of girls. I didn't get one in those events, but I did "grind" with them. 8) OH YEAH!!!!! 8) 8)
