do you save your projects ?

Post by post-it » Sun Aug 31, 2003 9:51 am

After making my 2nd AMV, which was actually made over 3 weeks ago, it dawned on me that I have never kept any Project Files for more that the original makings of that Video!

hmmm

- I mean, I can remember from which Video's certain sections were taken and from what DVD's my idea's came from; but do we really need to save any on these Animations and/or Project file?

Haha lol that's really funny. Try a fucking 45 minute to an hour download and it notices a codec error.

ahhh, the days of dial up ... if i still had dial up it would ahve been a 3 hour wait for an AMV ... then some magical error would ahve caused the download to just dissapear with no exlpination.

I personally save all my project files on to a DVD along with the official Huffy version and MPEG disro version of said project. Plus, if I have enough room left, I toss in my preview files (crappy quality as they may be) and tell the project forward attention to that specific folder. This way in the event I have to re edit said project I prepared with the necessary files. All I have to do at that point is rerip said DVD(s) and I'm all set!

Why wouldn't someone save the source code for their project?

Sure, they're big, but hey, I'm not making it over to do an edit...
