Things you'll need™

*A decent computer -
- 1Ghz, 512MB of ram, 40GB hard drive, DVD-ROM(not a burner, plain DVD-ROM)
*Some software
- Adobe Premiere is what most people use <---costs money.
- VirtualDub & the AMVApp pack(avaiable in the Video Software Help forum) are also needed. They are free.

*Footage
- In the form of DVD or VHS(you'll need a capture card for VHS tapes).

Then you need to know how to use this stuff. Start by reading the guides here. Get ahold of whatever software you're using and read the manual. I doubt you'll be making AMVs in the first day. You'll probably get frustrated alot. It's not easy. Don't expect it to be. Once you get the hang of things, then it becomes easier and easier and you can do more, but it gets tedious and render times become your enemy.

Get the software, read the manual, read the guides off the main page and then play around.

Soon enough you'll be there.

. . well . . yeah~ . . but -
. anything slower than a PC-2700 design will take Hours just to Boot under WinXP's operating system!
. . a PC-1600 standard was fine under Windows 98 because it was not a resource Hog!

Shut...up..

I'm running 512MB of PC2100 DDR and it boots up fine in only a min.

Would have to be old VCRs. The later models won't let you past the Macrovision lock. :(
