FLCL is one of those shows that you need to watch a few times.

Uncertainly I don't have the DVDs (yet), I only saw it japanese with english subs - so it is a lot more confusing to follow when reading all the time (it took me like 10 times to get everything there was in the manga scenes).Propyro wrote:If you have the dvd's i suggets you watch them with the voice over commentary ... it's a very helpful feature sonce it lets you know what was going on in the dirrector/creator's(i think) mind when he was doing certain things.
But I play to buy the DVDs, are they good synchronized?
Oh yeah and my conclusion to FLCL would be that no matter how weird it may be, if it happens to you, just get it, everything can be normal. And don't listen to others (exept sometimes) and do your very own thing!
Peace out,

The official DVDs are of good quality and also have extremely good sleevenotes. They include pretty much everything from the original discs (interviews, etc) as well as translators notes, cultural reference explanations and, for the manga scenes, printed (ie static) versions to help keep up.

Sweet jesus ... that steh best ... in the DVD on teh back of the booklet they have the whole manga sequence printed out so you know what the fuck is going on. With out that ... well lets say it's a little hectic ... afctualy you know how hard it is to follow ... fucking impossible if you don't know japanese. Aks otohiko ... he;ll tell you, and he understands japanese.Aetherfukz wrote:Uncertainly I don't have the DVDs (yet), I only saw it japanese with english subs - so it is a lot more confusing to follow when reading all the time (it took me like 10 times to get everything there was in the manga scenes).Propyro wrote:If you have the dvd's i suggets you watch them with the voice over commentary ... it's a very helpful feature sonce it lets you know what was going on in the dirrector/creator's(i think) mind when he was doing certain things.
