DVD-R drive is dead. Can someone rip me an Eva scene?
Hey all. I have a request for assistance.
See, I have an idea for an Eva video and I don't need much footage for it. Actually, it's only one scene. But, my DVD-R drive is kaput for DVDs (see my post in Video Hardware for slightly more details), else I'd rip it myself.
So, here's where I need some help. I need some kind, helpful soul to rip the scene from episode 26 right before the ending text cards ("Good bye to my mother, thank you to my father, and to all the children... congratulations"). It's the scene immediately after everyone is finished congratulating Shinji, where he smiles and says, "Thank You", then the text cards come in. That is all I need.
I would greatly prefer it if the scene would be sent to me in a HQ (Uncompressed or HuffYuv) format, and not reduced in size from 720 x 480. If someone is willing and able to help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it, and I can offer you a big heaping thank you in the video.

I think I can help you out there. I got that clip recorded. and I can send it to you through AIM if you have it. My name there is 'Quiet Cannon 1'. I didn't realize how big uncompressed files are. For 2 seconds, I have an uncompressed file for 76M and compressed with HuffYuv for 25M. Be advised that I sometimes have upload problems. Though my connection can usually download at good speeds, sometimes my uploads go painfully slow.
