HELP! In VIDEO SETTINGS=compressor, no Huffyuv!!!

In the video settings menu

In the compressor option

It only contains the options of microsoft DV pal or something of other....
but it's wierd! i downloaded amvapp but the option like in the guide says, it should contain, when you scroll down, Huffyuv or RBG or something!

why?!?!? WHY??!?!?!
am i supposed to manually cut and paste the huffyuv plugin in the adope premier codec files? or do something else?

I assume you're working in Premiere, as you just infer it. If you're using the version that comes with the AMVApp, I believe it will show up as "YUV Render Fix", not "HuffYUV" on the codec menu.

but the thing is, i downloaded amvapp but the YUV thingy does not appear in the codec/compression!!!

which file should i manually input into premier so that it will appear...or rather is it too late?
should i just carry on or not?

If you ran the install for the AMVApp, it should have installed the codec and you shouldn't have to so anything else. Does it show up in any other programs, like VirtualDub?

huh? show up in virtual dub? do you mean if i ran it because i have not used it yet...but it works if that 's what you mean....

OK, if you've got VirtualDub, open up a video file, and under the 'video' menu at the top (I'm going from memory on this, I apologize if I'm off by a bit), and click on 'Compression'. It should give you a list of codecs to choose from. Scroll down that list and see if the 'YUV Render Fix' is on it- if not, than it would appear the HuffYUV codec didn't install properly...

You have to choose Microsoft AVI not Microsoft DV

once you've done that you can THEN choose the avi compressor and Huffyuv should be there.

but one more question...what's the difference if i chose YUV renderer or HuffyUV?

is YUV the ultimate choice? and where do i make it into YUV2 or is that automatic cause when i went to configure, it said YUV2 at the top!!!
