PS2 Import playing

Post by Bushido Philosopher » Wed Jun 18, 2003 9:35 pm

Hey all. Since there are so many PS2 players out there I was wondering if any of you would know about ways to play imports on the PS2.

Specifically, I wanna play PS2 Japan imports on my US console. I heard there was a legal way to do it (without violating warranty), without using a chip or any internal things. Heard it was a disc form but not a boot disc or anything.

So any of you know how to play imports without violating the warranty? If there isn't I'm still interested in knowing how to do it.

Thanks for any input guys.

As I recall, a friend of mine bought a Gameshark type device with mod-chip capabilities built in for his original Playstation.

There might be one for the PS2, although the odds of it being just import-only are low, ironically. These sorts of things don't really work that great. Or maybe they do, I'll have to talk to my friend about it...
I'm out...
