1) Immediately pour yourself a large, strong drink.

2) Down it.

3) Repeat #1 & 2.

4) You really don't care about your keyboard anymore, do you?

Really though, once that stuff dries, you'll have all sorts of problems with keys sticking. Try pulling off the cap of a somewhat non- essential key, like one from the number pad, or F1, and if it comes off without breaking, pull off all the other keytops in the area where the spill was, and wipe up around and on the keyposts and tray area with a wet, but not soaking wad of paper towels, dry with some more, and wash and dry the keytops you pulled off, then reassemble the keyboard.

Then take it apart and wipe down the keys. If it got on the electronics, you may need a new board.

Run it through the dishwasher without soap, or use a sink full of hot water to wash it. Pour out any excess water, and let it airdry for several days (probably a week).

Okay, here is today's update. The old keyboard is dead. I have declared it so. It was beyond repair as the Mai Tai seemed quite intent on gumming up the works more than I was capable of cleaning up in a sensible fashion.

Last night's lesson: Don't pour Mai Tais next to the keyboard.

My roommate is "lending" me one of his spare keyboards that he had sitting in his closet...it'll do for now.
