Quick question with Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides.

Post by rktman » Mon May 26, 2003 8:17 am

I was following Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides on how to rip dvd source footage and well its all nifty and ripped and i can view it....but it doest play right. I have a few questions if any of you can help me solving why it doesnt play right.

Problems with playing:
1)It doesnt play at a correct speed, seems to be running just short of 1 second so it gets choppy and has those lines like its interlaced(just my newb oppinion).

Problems i did:
1) didnt deinterlace it right.
2) dunno this is my first rip hehe.

so if anyone has used Read ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides for ripping with smartripper>dvd2avi>avisynth>preimier. and can answer a few questions in here or just meet me on aim sometime and just run through the process really quick it would be really helpful. Thanks a bunch.

email>rktman@i1.net (if your kind enough to help me run through it on aim)

Post your avs script.

are you using ivtc? if not, then no wonder you're getting interlacing lines.

did you remember to put Assume 24fps in?

IT sounds like it's just going slow.

I would read in the guide on how to do a MJPEG/AVS swap. That will be much faster and give you the same results. It will take about twice as much hard drive space though.

Anyway it was skipping because i didnt turn it into an avi with virtualdub (stupid me). But i got that working and it took less than 4 hours to make (1:37 long). Anyone who needs any assistance ill try to help. Good luck.
