mpegs freeze
ok when i go to load one of my old amvs that has subtitles into premiere it freezes when ever i try to edit it cause i want to cut the subtitles out. should i try putting it in avi format and then import it into premiere or well that freeze as well?? thanks.

MPEG and DivX AVIs don't work to great in Premiere. They may work, they may not.
Get VirtualDub and convert the MPEG into a AVI file. Though you'd probably want to convert it to a huffYUV file. That would bloat the filesize tremendoulsy.
If you downloaded the source, don't use it. Go get the DVDs and read the guides on how to use them.
