I "play" guitar ... my "skill" however is nothing to brag about, exspecialy since i've been playing for 2 years. i also play tenor sax in my school concert band. At school i'm the best senior tenor sax player ... by default. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music so it would be easier to list the music i try to avoid. They are as follows; pop, rap, hip hop, r&b and the like.

What kind of guitar(s) do you have? I have a standard black fender Strat and an El Degas nylon string acoustic.

I've been playing guitar for a couple of months now, but I think I'm very good. I have a Yamaha acoustic guitar with extra-light strings.

As of now, I can play:

Collective Soul - The World I Know
Fuel - Bad Day
Fuel - Innocent
Sevendust - Angel's Son
Three Doors Down - Loser

I want to learn:

The Beatles (or is it just Paul?) - Yesterday
Foo Fighters - Times Like These

wow ... you see thats the one thing i lack ... any real confidence in my "skill", i still think i suck, actualy i know i suck. I don't think i'd ever be able to say that i'm a good guitar layer no matter how good i get ... nor will i ever be able to perform for people, thats one thing i don't like doing for some reason ... i don't like playing guitar for other people. probably afraid of making mistakes ... yea i know lame excuse

I've been playing guitar for almost a year now. Which is sad, because I've had plenty of chances to start way before. My father has been a professional guitarist for the past 25 years.
My inspirations come from lots of places, my father is a big influence, but the awakening that moved me to start playing came primarily through my discovery of Robert Fripp's music and philosophy a few years ago.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

i've been a guitarist for a year and a half roughly.
I know i suck, this is inspiration, if you are ever happy with how well you play, you will forever be playing blink 182 songs and telling everyone that you're so sad because your girlfriend left you. If you are ever happy with how well you play, then you will never get better.
I will obey the Forum rules for sig image size.

I also play guitar, but unlike these wannabes, I really do suck. I am not just looking for inspiration to get better, I am incapable of improving. Only because I never practice, because I have no time. eh, but anyway. I do hold a degree in audio engineering, which is too bad since I don't use it (difficult field to get into). So I know about music and sound as a result. I guess you could say the console is my instrument. too bad I don't have time to practice that either. :(

What they say about happyness and being contented, all true, I seen it I tell ya
