Fushigi Yuugi Tomo/Nakago/Soi

Hi all, I've been writing fanfiction about Fushigi Yuugi's love triangle between Tomo, Nakago, and Soi for a while now, and I decided I have to make a music video about their relationship.

Unfortunately, I can't find a song I'm satisfied with. In order to satisfy me, a song would have to express the following:
- Tomo and Soi's obsession/longing
- Dominant/submissive dynamic
- Nakago as either unbearably bright (his hair and power like the sun in _Center of the Sun_) or unbearably cold (eyes and heart like ice)
- And if at all possible the song should express jadedness or the bitterness of defeat like Don Hendley's _Everybody Knows_

Having gone through my entire music library and 25 recommendations, I still can't find one that really fits.

Now, I took four songs and mixed them together in Premiere (which I am really starting to hate it's volume controls X_x ) and I have arather schitzophrenic sounding mix that expresses about everything I want and _I_ personally like it but it didn't go over too well with my test audience...

Doesn't anybody have an opinion or a recommendation? I know I had to save my mix at crap quality to get it to fit on my website but still... I just _finally_ finished ripping 5 dvds worth of fushigi yuugi, so now I'm all ready to start putting the actual video together - if I have a song, that is.
