1) I'm a graduate student in geography with a Natural Resources focus.
2) My father was a district range supervisor for the U.S. Forest Service in the Bridger Teton National Forest, Jackson, WY.

No, redwoods are capable of growing higher than sequoias.
For a comparison of the two species I direct you to this site:

Anyway, as for AMV moments, my mind tends to find coherence where there is none (like in my posts! woohoo!) - though sometimes you do get that kind of feeling. One, I think, was the first time I heard the song "Sometimes" by James - it had to have been a few years ago, maybe three. My sister and her two best friends and I were driving through the rain in the city, and apparently sensing a good song call, one of the friends put on that song. This was a while ago, before people started screwing each other over and things turned sour and imploded - at the time, these four were the center of my tiny little world, and despite the song being partially about people hit by lightning and boats wrecking in storms, there's a sense of peace and comfort in the song. And that was magnified by the situation, a moment of peace, nobody making snarky comments as everybody tended to do (I'm one of the less snarky ones, actually) - with the rain outside and stoplights looking all dribbly-smeary through the wet windows. Going home, with some great music on the radio.

Yeah, I could probably say that's one of those moments.
