There's that stowaway girl (May) in Sol Bianca Legacy, but I doubt there is enough footage of her to make a video. Not enough character development, either.

You might be able to do something with Misao from the Pretty Sammy TV series. Or not (?).

All of these are on R1 DVDs. Princess Nine is on sale at 1/2-price at The Right Stuf this week.

Ooooh- Princess Nine is a good one, I can't believe I remember that one. :?There are several good characters in there that would match up with the desired theme- not least of which would be the main one, Ryo.

Hey sarahtheboring I have an idea for a couple of character you could use.What about Princess Nausicca,or SAN of Princess Mononoke? Ther is one other that comes to mind is Nagissa,From ICZELION. 8)

hey, I know you said feminine, but you also said it didn't have to be a girl, so I couldn't help thinking:
"Wow, that fits Goku from Saiyuki perfectly". I don't think the episodes I'm thinking of are on DVD in the US yet(I know the first DVD is, but I've only seen a friend's HK bootleg of the first season, so...), But Goku is all "Where are we going? I'm hungry!" and selfish and energetic and stuff, but when one of his best friends suddenly gets hurt he screams about ti, finds inner strength and whatnot, and calms down for the next few weeks(Which, for Goku, is a big step).. Sorry for all the vagueness, I don't want to give away any spoilers. >.>

But you seemed to mention FF9, so Dagger or Zidane might work if you used that.... But I'd definetly go for Goku...

Battle Athletes Victory comes to mind, Sarah.

If it's not out of print, you can probably pick up the discs fairly cheap.
They certainly were cheap about two years ago when I bought mine, like $13-17 per disc.

I like the series quite a bit.

*bangs head against desk repeatedly* Gah! Yet another of my favorite series that I managed to forget to mention. Yes, Kanzaki Akari would work very well for a profile on finding inner strength. Just be sure and get the TV series and not the OAVs if you go with this.....

DVD Planet has them for $11 each. All appear to be in stock, but most are tagged as low-stock.
