Forgot to ask, does anyone know if Evangelion: Rebirth will be released stateside? I'm fairly sure this is a Japanese only thing, especially since no one has licenced it yet (yet is the keyword). I guess I am asking b/c it would be really mean to make us buy it again b/c their first version has crappy quality. Unfortunately, I'm one of the stupid folks who would be forced to buy it again.

It'd be nice if they had a trade-in program or at least SOMETHING sort of like the GBA -> GBA SP (at 40 dollars less) deal.

I think it already has been, along with Death.
Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.

Oh. I certainly hope so, otherwise I'll be pissing my pants over the amount of money that I'll be spending for DVDs that can actually be Inverse Telecined.

Another drawback of living in Egland for you all... We've only just started getting the Eva DVDs on release. Which sucks. You've had Spirited Away twice before we've had it once. A whole bunch of stuff is never released because they don't want to translate it all for the European market. The fact that WE SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE as in America doesn't occur to them.

It would require Manga to actually behave like a reasonable company that cares about a release schedule (or is that just Wanksplat UK?), and them and ADV to collaborate and work something out - since Manga have the rights to the extra bits of the Jp DVDs they bought along with D&R/EoE. Which isn't to say it won't happen - and it will probably be announced just as the Jp boxset comes out - but it's unlikely for a while yet.

As for the living in England thing... I collected it on dub VHS when it first came out, and have been sufficiently lazy in getting the DVDs that the only extraneous DVD I'll have bought will be the bad version of disc 1, and that was NTSC, never mind PAL...

as to getting it on DVD, i manage to get the first DVD at Virgin, the Second at HMV, and neither company seems like it will be getting off its arse anytime soon to get the next dvd's. Also, i keep getting strange looks off the staff, maybe because the world cinema section is next to the porn section.....
I play violent computer games! I could snap at any minute!!!!
