Metallica + Offspring = Suck.
I know what you mean though, but thats only in all these popular bands mostly. I know what it is, all the recycled shit gets boring, because you keep hearing the same few chords except up a fret or two. Nothing is different in all this manufactured music.

I agree with you. a lot bands change their styles, just to get some audience; Let say for example: Mudvayne's first album kicked major ass, but in the second even though i liked it, they change their style to a more melodic, less metal style and that really sucks; but hey! there just trying to get more $$$ there's no harm in that. also some bands change their styles because they wanna create something new but in the end they finish sucking even more ex: Korn.

thats not always the case..
for example: Paradise Lost was very death metalish back in the day.. not fully death metal, but getting close to it, and with each CD they got a little bit lighter
thier riffs got more bearable.. thier guitars didn't sound so grungy and distorted, the singer sang clearly, and they finally found thier perfect sound in thier last CD "Symbol of My Life"
they started out with a sound they weren't good at, but by no means were a bad band, they found thier sound, and then they made gold with it
same with Endo, thier first CD "Evolve" sounded like a heavier RATM, but alot of thier songs weren't that good.. but the ones that were good were great.. but now they experimented with thier sound, and in "Songs for the Restless" thier upcoming album, they sound a whole lot better..
its all about experimenting.. and also, if every CD you make sounds the damn same, then the band won't want to make music anymore if not only for money which won't come anymore, since sound needs to evolve with the people.. it needs to adapt..
I think the people who complain most about sound changing are the people who don't want to change themselves.. sometimes you gotta change with the times without losing what you started with.. ex: Slayer.
but hey what do I know right? *waltz's off*

you're totally right, its all about experimenting, bands need to try new stuff to expand their musical boundries, but nowdays we have bands that just change to be liked and make the music just for money making and not for the sake of music. so... yeah bands are allowed to experiment with their music but they need to be careful on not loosing their musical roots and not change the sound and making the music something different .The Messiah of Pain wrote:thats not always the case..

i've noticed a trend with alot of metal bangs going around now a days..
Listen the Last track to Ill Nino's CD, 2nd Powerman 5000's CD, 2nd Disturbed's CD.. just for examples.. they have songs that are totally different then thier regular sounds.. I found the trend rather funny.. since the songs didn't sound all that bad..
there are other bands that follow that trend but I don't remember them off hand.. maybe you can find some..
