i thought that was a woman accused of adultry who ws brought to him? yea it was because then he said woman, where have your accusers gone ... yada yada ... go in peace, sin no more ... yada yada. unless thre were two instances where he had to do that ... i dunno, been a while since i picked up a bible.Dannywilson wrote:
ACTUALLY, this is a biblical reference. Jesus was walkin along one day, chilling with his disciples, when he was approached by the Pharisees (church bigwigs) who were testing him. They brought him a man suspected guilty of a crime, the punisment for said crime was death by stoning. Wen they asked him who should fulfill the punishment, he looked at them and said, "those of you free from sin can throw the rocks". the Pharasee's looked at him funny, gave him custody of the man, and went on their happy way, never knowing the true meaning of the phrase. The quote is taken directly form the first King James translation of the bible.
As Paul Harvey would say, "And now, you know the rest of the story."
I just solved the mystery of hellsing that plauged me

yea, you got the basic theme right, and thats really all that matters, every thing else is just commentary and minor details.Dannywilson wrote:It was that instance... I forgot about that... good work. At least my theme was right.
There was a story that my religion teacher told me while we were studying judiasm in our world religions course. Some cocky roman soldier or something ... just call him Gentile X. He was mocking a rabi, and eventualy he challenged him. he said "if you can teach me the entire torah while standing on one foot i'll convert to judiasm". So the rabi smiled, stood on one foot and said "Love God, and love your neigbor, the rest is all commentary." I always thought that story was interesting.
