nah being polite is good.Seno wrote:damn i hate to be polite...lolSeno wrote:Hey, I am new but yet have a little experince in amv making...but i got no where to host my creations, any ideas where can i find a host to put my amvs in?

As for the other options, web hosting must be paid for, and it's usually very good service. it depends on what host u decide on.. so search around www.google.com or www.findmyhosting.com for good prices. they may give u anything from 25 to a 100 megs, for about $6 to $100 a month. i haven't tried any yet, but i'm planning on buying my own host.

As for ftp hosting and p2p programs, ur computer and ur internet connection are used as hosts, and other ppl connect to download ur files. it's kinda slow unless u have excellent upload capabilities, or if u have T1 or higher. ftp servers can be made using GuildFTP or a similar program.. u can find these by searching for it at www.download.com. P2p programs i recommend are Kazaalite (as it has no popups or ads) and winmx. again, they're available at www.download.com..
hope this helped.. SaYoNaRa.

How about Iced?
Well, for good hosting, you're going to have to look long and hard. I've been looking for a while, and it's kind of hard to find good hosting that has more than 10 megabytes of space for under 20 dollars.

That's one nice search program you found, Keichi! Anyway, I found one of the best deals to be http://www.catalyst2.com, if you're willing to pay 19 dollars a year, that is. It's in the UK, so I don't know how fast it would work on OUR computers, like how The Bebop and T.A.N.C run slowly during the day.

oOoh nice find roke, catalyst2 seems interesting.. i won't be able to pay for any of those plans 'til i find a part-time job when i'm sixteen.
i guess i'll b making $500 a week, enough to donate to the Golden Donut and the carrot thing.. i may get a credit card soon and buy a nice car, enough to drain all of my monthly earnings.
web hosting is one of my numero uno priorities.. but then i'll have to learn how to set up a good and working homepage for once.
