Yeah, EoE rocked me pretty hard too. Not quite that bad, but I just sat
there staring at the tv after it finished for about half an hour. It was
uplifting in a bizarre, almost violent way. Maybe that's what they meant
by "Love is Destructive".

Miyazaki films I like

1.Laputa
2.Caligistro
3.Kikis delivery service
4.Whispers of the heart
5.Porco rosso =What i have seen of it.

Films of his that suck

1.Spirited away
2.Grave of the firelflys
3.Nazzica or however it's spelled
4.Princess monoke
5.The one with the freakin tanuki in it.

I would say he is about average like disney he puts out alot of big budget films. Like disney only a few are any good. The movies I like of his I like better than any disney films made since Robin hood.

Now for Eva I love my Eva bashing.

The only experience you get out of it is a massive letdown at what could've been and the glaring fact that in the end Toji and Hikari are the most interesting characters.

Funny how 2 of the 5 ones you don't like weren't made by him (as was one of the ones you did like, but was written by him).

I like Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli and all that jazz. I've never really had a feeling of disliking a series, though. I mean, I can't really get into mecha series most of the time, and ones centered around card games get old (like Yu-Gi-Oh!, which is stealing the sanity of some of my friends... :?) But otherwise, the only thing I couldn't get into was a few books I've read. That's all. ^_^;;

Watch Eva and then you will see a series go straight down the toilet.

The closest I've come to that is when I read the Love Hina manga IN ITS ENTIRETY. I hated it, but I kept reading because I had all of it in my computer, and because I faintly hoped to find some redeeming qualities in that piece of crap. Boy, was I in for a letdown!

Still, that's just a matter of personal taste. But I feel like I completely wasted my time reading that abomination :( .
