Well, from the post, it sounded like you wanted him to add a new video or two to the currently existing CD.

Meh. Cognitive thought fails to work when you realize that you've spent all weekend BSing on the internet, and the odds are good that your shitty memory slipped and forgot to do some homework.

Technically, I shouldn't be here right now. Meh, I say. Meh to it all.

You should have ana ctualy catalog!

Like put a e-mail list on your site, for people to subscribe to, and you could make up an annual catalog to let people know everyonce in a while what's available.

Those are my comments, if it's been done.......

Rozard wrote:*love* By the way, how would one go about adding newly created videos to a studio's CD? Would I have to send you a new CD with it on there, or could I ask you to download ceratin videos and add them to an existing CD (if there's enough room)?
Three options:

1. Mail me a new CD to add to the catalog on top of your current CD.
2. Mail me a replacement CD for your current CD.
3. I do have master disc images of all the CDs on the catalog so if there is room added videos wouldn't be much more than a drag and drop so that is fine, too.

Let me check the space left on the CD and I'll shoot you an email.

That actually isn't a bad idea. It would probably need to be done monthly rather than annually (hell, we haven't even been in operation for half a year) and a downloadable catalog might work better than a mail list but I like the idea. I'm working on a new catalog format anyway so I'll keep that in mind.

Hentai CD's, ... unessecary at this stage to me, this is a great idea, only i'm afraid u'll run into copyright infringment ont eh Music Industry's part, better contact them for lisencing agreements because distributing music in AMV's is the same as distributing music, i've recently ran into this problem

My long awaited goal has been achieved. The AMV Distribution Center is up to 50 AMV CDs! How's that for ambition? We got pushed from 45 to 49 CDs by four CDs from a new studio, JMS3AMV, which arrived Friday. The 50th CD will be picked up on Monday (at the renter's office currently and they are closed on Sundays) from Three Lonely Kaiju which will actually be the second try on that CD. You see, by not testing the CD the first time they submitted it that studio get the 50th CD honor. Let that be a lesson to all you people who double check things.

All 50 CDs are now listed on the catalog at:

http://homepage.mac.com/red_wolf/Distro

The Request section of the site has been updated with specific directions for people wanting to request a "spindle" of AMV CDs (21 or more CDs). With an even 50 CDs in the catalog I'm sure I'll be getting a lot more "give me one of everything" orders complete with brand new spindles of CD-Rs so these new directions should help both myself and the requester out some.

-----------

The AMV Distribution Center is where AMV creators can have CDs of their work distributed to the general public. All requests for AMV CDs are done for free (the requester provides the blank CDs and shipping materials needed, we provide the burning of the CDs). This makes for a great alternative to online hosting, both for the creator without a host and the fan without high speed Internet access. We are currently distributing 50 AMV CDs. I'm always welcoming new CD submissions from AMV creators who want their work distributed so if you're interested check out the site for more details. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me directly at red_wolf@mac.com.

I have started a newsletter for the AMV Distribution Center. The newsletter will feature news and updates on the site and service. More importantly, though, the newsletter will be home to the new offline catalog that will begin regular publication starting next month. The offline catalog will be a PDF file with complete information on the AMV CDs offered (including AMV lists) through the Distro as well as extra information on the Distro itself. It will make for good offline browsing of CDs, very easy to print out, and is easy to share with friends via either email or print. As needed, the catalog will be updated and sent out on the 1st and 15th of every month starting in April (I promise no April's Fool jokes).

You can sign up for the newsletter either by visiting the website at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amvcds or by sending an email to amvcds-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

The first edition of the catalog will go out on Tuesday, April 1 so don't miss out.
