Bollywood or Anime?
Bollywood or Anime. Which do you prefer?
Bollywood, from one of the largest movie industry on earth. Known for romantic musicals, overblown melodramas, hot Indian chicks with the best bazooms on earth, hunky guys with supernatural fighting abilities, pyschotic villainy, a bit of hyperviolence and some good ol' family values.
Anime, from one of the most high tech countries on earth. Known for romantic blushing, overblown melodramas, hot drawn chicks with the best bazooms on earth, immature boys with supernatural fighting abilities, pyschotic villainy, a bit of hyperviolence and some good ol' family values. Oh, and there's some mechas and samurais bla bla bla.
Actually, what I'm trying to start is a Bollywood/anime discussion. I'm sure there anime fans out there who also watch Bollywood musicals. I can hear you humming Kuch Kuch Hota Hai after watching it. I can sense your total lust for women like Bipasha Basu, Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor. I can feel admiration your admiration for men like Amitabh Baachan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan, how they are as badass as Kenshin the Samurai, Dante, or Vash the Stampede. I can hear you memorise the names of those Bollywood starlets as much as you memorise the anime charas and their creators.
So what I want to ask is:
Does Bollywood have much in common with anime?
As an anime fan, what do you think of Bollywood films?
How are Bollywood films are compared to anime, beyond apples & oranges that is?
Are you a bollywood fan as much as you are an anime fan?

This may be a dumb question, but where does one find subtitled Bollywood movies in this country anyways? My local video store doesn't really have any (certainly not on DVD, and I won't rent VHS and risk gunking up my VCR), and Netflix, etc. doesn't seem to have them either...
