He didnt buy the episodes in DVD format. He had some really high quality vhs tapes or vcds or something of the series and just burned them onto DVD discs..Zarxrax wrote:They almost certainly aren't region 2 dvds if they work in a PS2. I'm assuming that its an american PS2. Also they can not be region 1 dvds, as Sailor Stars is not released in Region 1.

could be the issue. I'm not exactly sure how old the writable DVD "standards" are, but if the drives predate their introduction commercially, not being able to read such discs shouldn't be entirely a surprise.chibi_kagome wrote:hmm, i dunno, i had them built in w/ my computer when i first bought it. theyre prolly 2-3 years old or so.
Especially since these "standards" aren't mutually compatible, for pete's sake. See the link for a better explanation of the problem, which might also have something to do with your read issues.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.

i will probably do that. i'll see if i cant get them to work in a few days then i will just buy a new dvd-rom.Fungie½ wrote:My DVD-ROM is from 1999 and cannot play DVD-R's. It played perfectly in my DVD player but won't work. Best bet is if you cannot get them to play in the next couple of days, get a new DVD-ROM. They're pretty cheap now a days, like I saw one for $50 ^^
