Same thing I say to, but the other side of is 1. the average person isn't smart. 2. The majority of people won't care cause they don't do any illegal activity on computers. 3. Businesses that would have to deal with the government would eventually have to upgrade because the government is behind this and they themselves would need this software. So that would filter through.

And you can say it would just open up to more software that would convert to MAC and Linux based soft/hardware but that's one of the reasons they created this, to stop that. So as they increase the tech, yes someone would crack it, but it'd be easier to adjust to that crack by the manufacturer.

I don't believe it will happen over night, but it will integrate.

I still think that with that integration the downfall of microsoft will be at hand. You cant have that much control and that many people under the weight of that control and not liking it before it gives out.

blah blah blah, it'll slow down the media world for maybe a week until there's all sorts of cracks for it.

Sure - unless your system administrator configures your machine in such a way that TCPA is mandatory, you can always turn it off. You can then run your PC with administrator privileges, and use insecure applications

If this is the case I have nothing to worry about because I have administrative privileges over any PC I use.
yea that is true, then it really only bothers those who use pirated software, music and I would say someone who might try to create a virus.
Yeah, after reading thw whole article I found out about the pitated software thing not being able to turn off. I won't get into details but I have a few of those (for educational purposes mind you  ).

Anyway I did some checking into this Senetor Fritz Holling fellow and found out that he is ALSO trying to reinstate the military draft, lol.

lol nice sig. I think Microsoft is going out of it's way to be pains in the ass. Xbox live searches for mod chips so if you have a mod chip in your xbox you can't be on xbox live and if it detects the mod chips microsoft immediatley voids your warranty and any service contracts. What died and crawled up their ass this time.

I agree, Microsoft is just getting worse and worse, and more and more people are switching to alternative OSs. They are only digging their own grave.
Not to mention palladium would make it impossible to create AMVs, if some of you are slow to catch on.

Well the sad fact is that I would probably stick to an old copy of windows over any of the alternatives out there now. Linux might be great for hackers but it's certainly not user freindly.
