Well, I saw memories twice this weekend, and found it interesting. Episode 1 kicked ass, 2 was ammusing, and three was just kinda 'huh?'
One thing that I thought was really cool about 3, is that the camera does not cut once in the entire episode. Lots of pans, some interesting transitions, but not once does it cut from one scene to another. That was really awsome.
I kept hoping that there would be something tying the 3 episodes togather, but oh well. After the first ep, the mindless comedy is needed to bring you up again.
Please post your comments on the movie.
And does anybody else think that Miguel was a complete idiot?

The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.

Spoiler:
At one point in Stink Bomb, I noticed something that made it a lot less sinister. The main guy says at one point "He's still unconcious," and since he does work at a bio place, I think he'd know if a guy was dead. I wonder how long they stay out for.

I hate to be a bummer... but the guy in question is truly an idiot.thistledown wrote:Spoiler:

If the "stink" was just knocking people out, they wouldn't try to assassinate him nor would they consider launching nukes.
Oh... moving on... the 3rd story is AMAZING because it is all pans and zooms and trucks and tilts... this is VERY hard to pull off in anime. I like the distopic nature of the 3rd story and it reminds me just a little of 1984 (and you'll note that there are no enemy that the cannons are shooting at... chances are there WERE enemy once, but that now the suggestion of an enemy is what helps the government maintain the status quo in this horrible society).

Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.
