I would've thought myself more nerdly after posting all the specific dates instead of merely saying "Gundam came before Robotech. QED."
But in the end, it doesn't even matter.
At least this didn't have any ignorant content about how Robotech was a completely American show, with no Japanese involvement whatsoever... now that would've been fun. (read: flammable)
