I highly doubt that. After all, the series was based on Spike, the indian mystic said Spike was going to die, and it goes to a white picture of Spike right after the star fades. Nothing at all points to the star being Vicious's. However, I wish that star was Vicious's. Spike was my favorite character in any anime ever. I actually tear up at the very point of the episode on which this thread is based. It's the only thing I watch that actually does.

Separately, what was that about Spike living based on the CB anime guide?

The movie was in the middle, yes around 22,23 or 24.. I think it was the middle of 23/24..

Because Spike and Ed are in it. And after ep 24, Ed is gone and after 26, Spike is dead. So, since both are in the movie, particularly Spike, it would seem that the movie is chronologically placed before Ed leaves to be with her father and Spike, well, dies.

You can pretty much toss anything into that series and make it plausable. Spike is dead.....Vicious however..........

the film is between Cowboy Funk and Brain Scratch so I'm told, I was surprised how good it was it wasn't lacking in any way. I woke up the other day with Blue in my head and I was so sad, damn that beautiful song and the ones from Ballad of Fallen Angels and Call Me, confound them.
