hmm..tough question..let me check the dow average.
I assume you are talking about domestic holders but then do you mean anything or just electronic media?
If you mean anything they market, I buy a lot of used dvds since I can't see paying full price for a brand new dvd that doesn't wear down with use from someone else (if taken care of) when I am just there to watch it and then move on. I don't really keep a collection except in rare cases. I have the entire FY series (even new Eikoden) and currently haven't sold or traded off my Ranma OAV set since I still like watching it on occasion.
I find a lot of series lack replay value so I don't keep them. I like to watch..sometimes make an amv and then move on. It's cheap because I buy used then sell mine again. Almost free in the end
I don't see any of that money actually making it back to the actual license holder though.
My contribution to posters, keychains, apparel..etc...is very very low. I find most of my anime hobby fulfillment in making amvs and checking out stuff online.
That and conventions

I make a health contribution. I've been renting anime for almost a year now and have a healthy dose of it under my belt. Nothing like paizuri's psycho list but there is a lot of shit on that list I wouldn't want to watch even with a gun to my head. I love anime but a lot of it is ass. *remembers SoulTaker* *cringe* I hardly buy it though. Only priceless stuff like Akira, Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, Blood, and Perfect Blue. I'll leave the massive mainstreaming of anime to the rich DBZ fanboys.
