I'd say that would depend a lot on how many entries you've received so far. The majority of which were probably still to be submitted at this point, and maybe you might still get some. But if it results in a very small contest representing 2020 submissions, then folding them into next year's contest wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Take your time to decide this.

^Also a valid point. I don't remember when your deadline is/was.

We typically take submissions until like two weeks before the convention, with the highest volume of submissions happening in the last week before submissions close. I think we have something like 19 entries already submitted, which is a bit on the lean side to do a full-blown contest with.

I apologize for the long delay in posting. ACen 2020 will be hosting an online version of our AMV contest during the time frame the convention was originally scheduled for. This is extremely last-minute, but there's a push to do an "online convention" during the original convention weekend, and the decision to go ahead with the contest was only finalized today, so here we are.

Here is a link to the modified rules for the online competition:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-jXkw ... RdWcTBggg8

Major highlights:

1. If you don't want to participate in the online competition, your entries will roll over to the 2021 contest automatically, although you may choose to resubmit a different video or an improved version of your original submission next year if you feel the need.

2. To participate in the online contest, you must provide your express written consent to do so, as well as provide a download or streaming link to your video so that it can be viewed by the public.

3. Prizes and awards can be shipped anywhere within the USA, as well as APO/FPO addresses.

Sorry, for some reason the link sharing rule was set to only allow ACen staff to view it, rather than anyone with the link. Should work now.

You've already received my entries for this year, right?
Silent. Heroic. But never both.

Yes, but we need your consent to share them for streaming or download. If you want to provide a YT link for people to watch, that's perfectly valid.

Slight change in rules to extend the submission deadline and allow people who hadn't submitted before the con was cancelled to enter.

"ADDENDUM MAY 07: Submission deadline has been extended to midnight on the 14th. Further, even if you hadn’t submitted a video to the contest before the cancellation of the convention, you may still submit a new entry to this year’s contest."
