I have a hard time agreeing with all this. I think that its true that the trends change, but I really dont think its been all that extreme. Most of the popular studios and creators are still working on the more basic ideas(IE SpPanda), or have moved to using less flashy devices (IE ErMaC.) I dont see that much, but then again, for some reason I tend to be relatively unatached to the actual AMV VIEWING part of the AMV scene; I like making them, and I like talking about them, but I dont see how so many people can make so many general statements about a comunity that isnt producing that many really popular works.Beowulf wrote:AMVs, like all art, repeat themselves
The big thing right now is flashy effects, faster cuts, high energy songs, and tons of frill. I can't wait till the back to basics trend rolls around, and in my latest video that I'm working on, I'm trying hard to spark that trend ;P
Id just really like some sort of justification (just a couple of "case in points") because I dont think Im watching the right videos.
