Once again it's that time of year, the Anime North Music Video Contest for 2018 is now open and accepting entries. Deadline for submissions is April 1st 2018.

This year's Challenge Category features an editing challenge.

Momiji has recently been watching film noir and black and white movies. She wonders what can be done with this style.

he video must be in black and white, from beginning to end. Editing points will be awarded based on how this effect is used. Any amv can be easily turned black and white with a filter, but using the effect well may have unforeseen challenges. I am curious how this creative restriction will impact the videos and I am very much looking forward to the creative ways this style will be used.

Minor changes to the rules have been made, specifically about the water mark, and sites used for submission.

The online list of finalists and winners is published usually by the following monday/tuesday.
