Have you tired any recovery programs or is it dead as it, smoking and fiery dead?

If you really want it back and no methods of ghosting, partionig bad sectors or programs help, try http://www.dtidata.com/

You have to pay for it, but depending on what you lost, it could be worth it.

^_^ there are other companies out there. Actually, calling some local computer shops, you may get lucky and run across someone who knows how to do it a lot cheaper. 500 bucks is pretty darn pricey...but they guarantee to get your stuff back

Since I responded to the other, i'll do the same here.

It's quite funny. My harddrive also got screwed. I about a hundred gig of my life's memory their. My essays and reports and little amv stuff i was working on and music.

It's funny though that i'm not the only one. "I can feel your pain!"
