If you are an editor and attending AUSA please make sure you make time to come to at least one of the showings and the awards. I look forward to seeing you all at the convention at some point in time. thank you once again for your participation! I will not be posting till late sunday night with the winners, maybe monday after the con. it is a 4 hour drive home from the con I will be really tired.

I want to let you all know that during the various showcases I will be showing all non-finalists that I *CAN* there are a few reasons I would not be able to but I am happy to say that there are not many I can't show. I will also be placing AMVs from 2014 in the showcases as well, WITH title cards!

I have said this already, I am trying to get new ideas, so please watch for more information as I get it and know I can post it, I think you will LIKE what I am trying to do but that is only my thoughts.

Well here I am not totally home from the con, but had to stop at my parents on the way back. I am beat. I will be working on a post with the ballot and the finalists.

I will post this tomorrow so I do not make errors with my sleep deprived brain. I will also tell you all I can. I believe I will have it posted by about 4pm "ISH" tomorrow, depends on how long it takes me to get home from here and then go from there. If I get enough energy I will post it earlier if I can.

Thank you all for bearing with me! I am happy to say this year we took it up perhaps even TWO notches... and that is becasue of you ALL! Thank you very very much for making this year such a GREAT year!

This year’s Anime USA’s AMV Contest was filled with entrants that brought their A GAME! This year the contest was amazing, all the judges were amazed! I do have the sad duty to report that one of my judges passed away the morning of the convention. Wistre Miguel Miranda was a great man whom I only knew for the last year and a half but I feel that I am a better person because of knowing him. He had aspirations of becoming an editor himself and cared deeply for the fans of anime and conventions. He ran Cosplay chess and was part of a local group doing Phoenix Mock Trials. Please keep his wife, also one of my judges, and his family in your thoughts. My judges and I dedicated the Anime USA 2015 AMV Track programming and the contests to his memory. Rest well my friend, we all will watch out for your family in your stead.
We got 74 entries in the Main Contest and 5 entries in the Halloween Contest. All the entries were quite well done and we actually only found three videos that had to be disqualified. My Judges are a great team, I am thankful to have them, as they go over and above the call of duty. All I will say is that you editors do great jobs and sometimes you will miss something. Thank you for all that work you do, it makes my part in judging this so very much better. The separation of the votes between the winner and runner up is as follows: Trailer/Parody: 4 Votes, Drama: 3 Votes, Action: Was a Tie, Romance: 35 Votes, Upbeat: 5 votes, Comedy: 57 Votes, and Halloween/Horror: 4 votes. The separation between the winner and runner up for best in show was 57 Votes! I will contact the winners separately via e-mail with further information.
