Ok, I love AMVs, and I'm all for this site and the creation of them, but I do have a problem that I'm sure some others have. . . much younger sibblings, and protective parents. Now, I don't mind previewing the AMVs before allowing my sibblings to see them, but I would like to have an idea of what I'm looking at, therefore a rating system (G, PG, PG13, R ect.) would be helpfull. I am NOT in ANY WAY, SHAPE, or FORM saying that the more viloent AMVs be taken off. Some people like that. Some do not. I also realize the difficulty of rating AMVs. I have the same problem when I attempt to rate my fanfiction. And I also realize commen sense is important. If the anime is X, and the song is by a group well known for they're graphic songs, and swearing, that's probably not a good AMV for the kids. . . but I have been known to be surpirsed. I downloaded a Ramna 1/2 AMV once to "I've got a lovely buch of coconuts" (My mother thought it was great). Naturlly I wasn't surpised when they were't talking about coconuts, but the topless scene caught me by surprise. . . -_-''''''. What I'm asking for is some sort of notice in the information on the video (The creator talking about how much work was put in, how they feel about the AMV, ect.) Some already do this, and for which I am greatfull. I'm just saying that this is (I think) a good idea for people who live with others who are sensitve in this manor. AGAIN, I am not bashing the more viloent AMVs, or the AMVs with parts inaporpreate for 6 year olds. And I also know that it is MY respociblity to filter what my brothers and sister see and don't see. All I'm asking for is a heads up. Thank you for your time. I know it's a long post.

that actually seems like a good idea, I have a good comedy video but with some graphic subtitles. I dont know if some young kid is watching it when there parents are in the room. That video could et him in some trouble. I suport this Idea.

I am working on adding some information checkboxes about each video, such as:

contains sexually suggestive scenes (panty shots, etc)
contains non-sexual nudity (transformation scenes, etc)
contains sexual nudity

...and so on.

Time, I just need time...

I know Windows Movie Maker allows you to enter in a rating when you save it. These show up along with other video information that the author entered into these "WMV tags" along the bottom of Windows Media Player.

Perhaps other videos also have tags that can display this sort of information as well. I only know about WMV tags from my own experience. Until a site ratings system is possible, this tag could be helpful if the video you downloaded is a .wmv.
