Re: Anyone into photography?
Bought new camera, going to a cabin in the woods next weekend where it will (hopefully) be really dark and clear.
Going to try some astrophotography and some time lapses.

Taken in Penn Station, while waiting for the train to New York.
Lens is a "zebra" Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135mm f/3.5 from the 70s.

Settings were: ISO 100, F2.5(ish), 24mm lens, 20(ish) second exposure, 30(ish) second interval.
Am going to try some different settings with higher ISO, like to keep it low because it turns out less noisy, though with this cam that generally is not much of a problem until you go way up in ISO

This is a really good read about the technicals of ISO and noise in relation to astrophotography but can be applied outside of it as well.ZephyrStar wrote:Am going to try some different settings with higher ISO, like to keep it low because it turns out less noisy, though with this cam that generally is not much of a problem until you go way up in ISO

Also look at the Deep Sky Stacker program and read up on some of the techniques.

I once did Partyphotography... nothing special there. I took this pic on the way back from a rave, found this girl having a bad trip in the middle of the woods.
Had to take a 1.5 hour hike back to the party to find somebody who could take care of her >_>
Drugs are bad if you've got shit friends mmmkay
