Dallas Cowboys Discussion and Tony Romo...

Post by Gene Starwind 21122 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 8:47 am

So this is going to turn into a high debate here. Tony Romo I feel is a great quarterback. Reason being is not just the amount of yards he has thrown for each season, his touch down to interception ratio is 2:1 (208:101), 64.6% completion, 2007-2013 has thrown for 3,400 + yards each year except 2010 when he got hurt, and 20 4th quarter comeback victories. Besides 2007 and 2009 Dallas has ranked 16th or worse in Defense. Oh 2007 they had a 13th ranked Defense and in 2009 they made the playoffs with the 2nd ranked defense. So my point is that you can't put all the blame on Romo. Most of Romo's interception have come from recievers running the wrong routes. He calls the play and then sees his reciever at the point where he suppose to be as he releases the ball. He is expecting the reciever to break one way and they break another direction. Hince why the interception looks like Romo is throwing to nobody. In football you only have about 3 seconds to make a decision and throw the ball. So you have to rely on your recievers to be there. Also the offensive line has not been doing a great job of defending the quarterback or giving our running backs room to run. I don't know how many of the interceptions you can blame on Romo, but I know he probably responsible for some, but not all of them people are blaming him for. Including the game versus Denver you score 48 points and still don't win the game, that is not on the offense.

Anyways your thoughts.

It's just a general sports discussion, since football season is about to start. And there's been a lot of debates about Dallas wheter it be Romo or the team. Thought I would have a random topic on it here.
