yep i have that doubt after seeing the series, i have to agree griffith is a very confusing character but at the end i think that griffith wasnt good at all, he only used all his men to reach his dream.

Also in one episode he said that his friends are the people that stand above his dream or something i cant remember. so, with those words it seems clearly that he is mad man.

Griffith is one of the most evil people I've ever seen in anime... He represents the pure essence of selfishness, cares for nobody but himself, and is dominated by his own insecurity. He HAS to be the best, he must be god, if anyone (such as Guts) proves better then he is (which he does) he will not rest until he sees them suffer. SPOILERS!

If you watch the last episode you can see this clearly!

I didn't find Griffith confusing. He's an ubermensh (damn can't remember the spelling). That term...I can't remember his name

fuck, the philosopher who came after Hegel...nichi...yea that....can't remember the spelling. He was Germand and believed in the strong. whatever. Griffith did what he had to do to get what he wanted, plain and simple. He was amoral, he played the field as a true Machievillian (I spelled that wrong too).

what do you mean what's wrong with caska?

Well he wasn't actually amoral...but in politics the ends justify the means. He had to do what he did, because he would have died by one of the nobleman.

Dude, I wasn't being serious. Of course that scene didn't ruin the series. What ruined the series was characters that I didn't like. And like I said, I didn't hate the series. I just didn't think it was the huge masterpiece other people made it out to be. I didn't feel like I wasted my time watcing it once, but it's not a show that I'm gonna watch a second time.

They weren't RM's, they were just really, REALLY bad .avi's. They were almost as bad as the encodes I have for some of my Kare Kano episodes, in their 40 meg or so glory.

What I meant when I asked what was wrong with Caska was in retort to something that Alucard_Fon wrote about her. Personally I liked her except that she was always crying.
