Busou Shinki

Masato is a high school student who has been living abroad and has now returned to Japan. On his first day of school, he is awoken by Ann, his Arnval model Shinki. As he hurriedly prepares to depart, Aines, an Altines model, and Lene, an Altlene model, both make their way out from the boxes they had been packed within.

For the sake of their Master, they enthusiastically go about cleaning and squaring away Masato's belongings. In the midst of this, they come across a box labeled Valuable.

I don't think there was a topic for the OVA, so I suppose if you really want to, you can talk about that too in this topic, but they don't seem to be too closely related. Haven't exactly watched them, but my understanding is that they take place in the same universe with different characters?

Watching this because it gives a similar feeling as Angelic Layer, we'll see how this goes..

Basically is angelic layer harem version as far as I can tell. Apparently it's based on an action figure line in Japan, so I guess it's targeting that audience. I'm still trying to figure out what is virtual and what is real when they fight. Since they can slice up stuff with their weapons but major destruction always seems to be simulated.

Btw, giving some action figures real weapons and semi-free will seems to be perfectly normal in that world, guess they havn't had one go on a homicidal rampage yet.

This has more in common with Infinite Stratos than Angelic Layer imo. Staff/mech design/moe.
