Character Development

I realize this has probably been posted before, and if so, please just tell me where and I'll look there, but if it hasn't: What anime character has the best character development. What charcter goes through the most changes throughout the course if a series. Things like Fuma do not count, because that was an instant change that he had no control over.

I think an excelent example would be Motoko from Love Hina. Starts off as just swords and training, ends up almost normal.

Just wondering about other peoples ideas.

I personally love how Vash is developed throughout Trigun. It's one of the reasons I fell in love with the series. I also love how Setsuna and Sara from Angel Sanctuary grow on you as characters, even though AS only has three eps to develop them. I also love Arshes Nei's development in Bastard. She's only in the series for two episode's, but she's one of the most powerful character's IMHO. Haruko's true motive's are revealed through FLCL, and the truth about her struck me kind of hard at the end the first time I saw it.

I liked her up until the end, then I realized that the whole time, she was just a selfish bitch who was using Naota as a means to an end. She only cared about what she wanted, and she never really gave a shit about Naota. Course, one could argue that she cared about Atomsk, but fuck him. I still think she's a self-absorbed, manipulative bitch. A cool bitch, but still a bitch.

Asuka and Shinji from Eva, I am 2/3 of the way through Video Girl Ai as I write this, and I love Ai (Why is it that character's played by Megumi Hayashibara just attach themselves to me?), and I will finish with the development of Spike from Cowboy Bebop. Spike must be one of the best developed characters ever. I doubt many people would disagree with me.

Worst character development has to be Aisha and Suzuka from Outlaw Star. They were just gratuitious filler designed to engineer ratings, especially Aisha.

Nope. Unless you have an FTP, you can't link to a file on your computer.
