I liked the ending I think it was because it wasn't one of those "and they lived happily ever after" endings. I thought that the ending was unique it was my favorite part of Evangelion. While I rented the series I decided to buy Death and Rebirth and EoE. I find it hard to believe that anyone could have hated the ending

Sorry, I got confused, which ending do you find it hard for people to hate? EoE or the series?

All the endings are the same just from different viewpoints and they suck.

I'm not saying that everyone should "hate" this anime. And you may have not heard of me, but you HAVE to have heard of William Milberry whose explanation of why he too hates Eva [AND SAIKANO!] should validate my point. We hate it cause we can, that don't mean you should too.

ok then OS, now can you explain what the hell happened in End of Eva? I really disliked the series as a whole, but EoE was teh icing on the cake that made it truly awful (and it erased the only part of the series I liked: the last two eps of the orignal series!)

Holy shit people really only listen to what they want to hear. This is the last time I say this. Anno went crazy while making the last two episodes of EVA. And I don't mean loony tunes, I mean he was placed in an institution! They ran the last two episodes and it was the WTF heard around the world. Anno came back from his little padded den, took one look at what he had done....gave a little wtf of his own, and proceeded to make EoE to fucking EXPLAIN what was left out of the series because of his sickness.
In EoE, everyone dies. Yes they die! Everyone except Asuka and Shinji. No...no...for the love of shit no! Asuka does not die and then come back as some weird mixture of her and Rei. This is an ignorant rumor spread by people who are still waiting for Dragon Ball AF to come out.

Explained NOTHING of what popped up during the series:

Why the children born during the 2nd impact? And another thing popped up in series. EVERYONE from all of Shinji's/Rei's/Asuka's class was eligible to become an Eva pilot. ?????

Why are the Eva's so similar to the Angels? [Apostles?]

Why is Gendo such a fcuckin' ladies man?

Why is Shinji gay?

Why is Kaoru gay?

Why is... [ok, I can't take it seriously anymore because one can't take an anime this trivial that seriously.]

Some say this piece of [bleh] questions the origins of humanity... that's bullshit... I can't explain my opinion any harder because I speak of only opinion, not fact...
