The biggest lie in Christianity is that Jesus died for everyone's sins. He died because the Romans didn't like him, not because he wanted to die so he could save everyone. It's such a load of crap.

I just love when someone that knows nothing of the religion has a statement. The fact is Jesus already knew that he was to be killed. He could have escaped at any point. He also had the power to have the entire civilization erased, but he chose not to. At no point did he have to die. He is a God after all.

He is the SON of god, and he didn't have the power to wipe out anyone. To even suggest he would for an instant, consider it, is to compromise the entire base of the religion itself.

To have a better idea about the story of Christ as told by the Bible, may I suggest reading Christ by Jack Miles (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books). It's an excellent book that changed my view of the Bible, viewing it as a literary work as opposed to dogma.

you know this topic going to became worst then the nintendo ps topic did. You should all know that you are playing with fire right now because religion beliefs are very strong in most people. Also this thread has become even more off topic than "the grave of fire fly" thread did and that thread was pretty far off topic

Thats one of the tricky parts. He is part of the trinity, the three parts of God. That is just his humanoid state.

As for the base of the religion part. You are so very true, it does go against it. Thats why i don't go for the baptist or any other kind of christianity anymore. He did have the power to wipe them out with a matter of words. Just think how many other civilisations God wiped-out. It states in the bible of a about 5 civilizations he wiped-out just because they disagreed with him.

You're absolutely right. This is not the place for religious delegation and it is THE most dangerous topic you could possibly touch up on.
