Ehh, this is getting out of hand. When quote filled posts are reaching a half page in length, and no one is really swaying anyone, I think the best course of action in the long run is to agree to disagree :D . In the grand scheme of things, posts made on an online message board for a niche subject in a niche genre accomplish nothing.

But good debate.
I'm out...

What I don't see is how killing someone who is trying to kill you is deemable as murder.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

Yeah. This all went from a topic about grave of the fireflies into a discussion about ethical questions. Pretty smart though, and very enjoyable to discuss with all you people (even MrOne :o ) but I don't got the time now to read thru the last 2 and a half pages of this thread (I wasn't here just for yesterday after midday till today and yay, 2 complete new pages with loong posts ^_^ ). So I will join again after this night...

You're speaking right from my heart, pal! ^^

Custom is not concrete, nor is it sacred because it's "right", or "right" because it's "sacred".
Right. Nobody has the right to beat someone other. Even if it's his "custom" to do so. What I'm saying is, absolutely nobody has the right to harm another human being. What somebody does to his own is another matter. If he believes in killing himself is sacred, well he should go for it. But in our society nobody can beat another one around without fearing the consequences. And when these consequences are another beating, or even war when talking about a more epic scale, this is really sad. Because violence only leads to more violence. That's my point here. Why can't we just go along with each other. Would that be soo hard? I don't think so. But that is the problem with mankind. One person maybe smart, but when it comes down to a crowd, the masses get dump, and try to follow one leader/opinion. Tis so sad...

OK. I was wrong on that one... but I'm always trying to learn... so thanks :P

To bad most of that is false or over exaggerated. It's like me saying most chinese parents have their baby killed if it isn't a boy, and if your Islamic you treat women like dogs.

Wykith has the same propblem Timelessblurr was having (except for the grammar and spelling part) in that he doesn't use facts or references, he just spits out whatever he has in his head that he believes is right.
