Yes, there will be a return of that contest though it will be under a new name (apparently another con actually copyrighted it). Troy and company will be running it again it is separate from the main AMV contest but of course we will help as we can with it.

LOL, I just mentioned those as obvious examples. Another good one would be an entry that was in the comedy category last year, "YTMND AMV - Fad of Princely Caliber" by Drew Briscoe.

I would say fun would be like amv hell type videos and funny story videos.

Not copyrighted, trademarked. As far as I'm aware, there are four cons on the "official" Iron Editor™ circuit: Anime Central, Otakon, Anime Weekend Atlanta, and AnimeUSA. It's been that way for a few years now, though I don't know exactly when they got the trademark.

As an editor, unless the music aspect of a video is unencumbered by traditional copyright, you can't actually consent to rule #7. You lack the power to grant those things unconditionally on the behalf of others.

Lawyers had us put it in several years ago. It has been there since long before I took over the contest. Its to cover our butts. The music aspect is covered by the ascap fees we pay every year anyway.
