He happens to sit next to Takatsuki Yoshino, a girl who wishes she was a boy. Both of them have secrets they cannot tell anyone.

. Transient Sons are not new; the manga's been out for years on how to be submissive.
The subject is well known the Chicago area's of the U.S. Its an Anime of two transgendered students;
and "that's enough said" on that subject.
. Shows like this try to justify anything pompous and turn it into a self righteous attitude brought on by
others. Make-up your fricken minds on how you want to handle things and then stand by that design.

. if your a sucker for bleading-hearts, then you'll find this subject revolting.

. if your set in your ways, then you'll find this show repulsive.

. if your just curious about being curious, you'll love this series.

. as for myself; may I never run into another subject like this EVER AGAIN! :nono:

I liked it, but I think everything went by too fast: I got really confused at a lot of moments. =s
Also, I really wish I could connect to the main male character. You feel so bad for him, yet you feel so distant if you've never experienced something like this, y'know?

I dunno. I read up on HM a bit on TVTropes and the manga's opening sounds a lot better. I'll watch and read it, probably.

I found it mildly interesting, but I was also confused for much of the ep. It was very pretty, clearly Shinkai influenced, which I thought it relied on a bit too much >_> Will be interested in seeing how it progresses as this is quite an unusual subject.

I was a bit confused, I'll admit that. There were no real character introductions so you just fort of have to guess who's who. I liked the animation style and the personalities were well done (boy acts like a girl, girl acts like a boy on top of them both cross-dressing). Could make for some funny moments but i don't see there being a lot of comedy in this one. Either way I'll follow it.

Watched the first two eps twice and am aware of which characters are which now. I find gender identity issues intriguing so I'm hooked for now. <3 Japan for making shows that wouldn't generally make it in the US.

Can't say I agree with post-it. Three episodes in and the series isn't coming across as pushing some kind of agenda... Perhaps acceptance of others or acceptance of yourself, if anything. To early to tell.

I can sort of see the connection, but the first thing I think of is Aoi Hana... probably since Takako Shimura did that as well. >_>

This is probably my favourite anime now. I was really worried about how they'd handle this issue, especially since I hold it very close to my heart. But they handled it perfectly. Looking it Nitori... I feel like I'm watching an anime based on my own life.

Oh and if anybody is wondering if this is an accurate representation of how a transgender feels. I will say, it's certainly accurate to myself.

Still loving the artwork. The romeo and juliet thing was sorta cliche tho. How many episodes are we gonna get?
