Splice
So i watched splice last night ... that has got to be one of the most messed up movies i've ever seen. It was good because it wasn't the typical "they create a monster and it goes around killing everyone" i was expecting. Acting and plot were good and overall it was probably one of the best "monster" type movies i've seen. I'd recommend it but if you're sensitive at all watch it with a friend, cuz there are some pretty disturbing parts. It's a real mind fuck towards the end.

Re: Splice
I've seen it like a couple weeks ago and I still don't know what to think about it... it kinda went like I expected and at the same time it did not.

Re: Splice
I actually rendered that whole movie as being a B-Movie (letting Adrian Brody aside). The plot was pretty easy to foresee, very predictable and moreover the camerawork was indistinct and lacked focus, so did the art direction and location design. Somehow it just couldn't convey the atmosphere, it wasn't really intense.
And as a sidenote refering to the spoiler above: Breaking taboos doesn't make a film good. I just thought "gah, really now that is fail" A movie that needs something like this to balance a crappy narrative just doesn't cut it.
