Holiday AMVs

I'm searching through the main site and downloading all that I can and gathering information of the many more videos not online. So far I have a 66% positive response on those I've contacted about permission to add their video to the compilation CD with the rest simply not responding. I can get the CD filled with enough time to finish searching and contacting enough creators but I don't think it would be done in time for Christmas and considering I'm already seeing a USPS and UPS slow down through work for the holidays this isn't the best time to be sending out CDs. I needed to have the idea earlier and the CD done by Thanksgiving for a decent chance for everyone.

The other thing that bothers me is I would really like to offer people without online hosting a chance on the CD as well since they, obviously, can't get distributed any other way. But there is no way I can receive and compile videos sent through AIM or snail mail in time.

So what I'm going to do is this: I'll keep up my search and contacting through this month and next (I have things to do during the holidays, too) and get a CD compiled. I'll scan for any new videos between now and next November and I'll have a compilation CD ready to go on Thanksgiving 2003. I know folks would love to see this just as I would but I don't think it is feasible given the time constraints and I'd rather not mail out a lot of Christmas CDs after Christmas

So with this sense of timing in mind if anyone has any thoughts on an Easter CD let us know now

I think that most folks can be good and can wait another year for the CD, and the fact that a compilation is still in the works might encourage more people to work on winter/holiday themed videos to put into the compilation.

As for an easter CD...I'll get right on it...them Japanese love Easter don't you know
