But damn, this list better be full of awesome when it comes out. Not that I don't blame Michael for taking longer than usual with it as I suspect that AX staff is busier than ever this year. Maybe were getting spoiled with having early results?
Both of my parents are pretty interested in my AMVs, even if they aren't huge fans of anime. I lucked out, I guess!

Darn, I thought you were just sitting in front of the computer, and she knew you wouldn't leave until the finalists are posted.

Yes, yes you did luck out.

My parents regard it as "devil's work".

But I slightly blame animazement, which has made them even more weary of it. My prize for that contest was the second volume of Karin, and it had two underage looking girls in scantily clad bikinis.

/facepalm

To each his own. Cyanna regards parental interest as a mixed blessing; I regard it as an unmitigated curse.

I'm really rather annoyed at how they upped the fanservice in the animé. There was nothing wrong with Karin's character design in the manga; why did they have to make her breasts so huge when they animated it?

(Not that I've actually read the manga, but I really really liked the series, aside from that one little issue.)
