hi all im all new here tried to upload my amv but links to youtube is'int allowed so i guess i cant share..cause i don't have the original video anymore..but anyhow i make tons of music videos please visit my youtube channel and see it visit my profile and you will find the link to my channel i really am glad to share with all of you..and i hope you will like my videos please leave comments on my videos if you like them ENJOY!

It's not that youtube videos are not allowed... you just have to enter the info in the catalog before announcing them in the amv announcements, that's all. You are not even forced to upload here, mind you.
You might think that making entries without uploading might not make sense, but here's the thing: someone finds your video on youtube and likes it. But then the video gets taken down and the account suspended. If you made the entry here, they can find you through the org, so they can still contanct you, and get a copy. If you didn't, they most likely won't find your video ever again, and they won't be able to see other vids from you. Catch the drift? We're not forcing you to upload your videos here if you don't want to for whatever reason (although, free hosting for anyone to download your amvs from, and preview them too... it's better than what youtube offers you), we're just asking you to catalog them before announcing them, so vids can be kept track of for everyone.

If you want to add a youtube link, you can put it in the video description. We much prefer, if you are going to use the system to link to a video, to either upload a high quality, downloadable distribution file, or to link a high quality, downloadable distribution file available on your own web hosting.

You do not need to have a link to enter a video. You can simply skip that step. I have a video, Private Papers, that is "done" but will never likely be released. I have another that uses audio that the Org has agreed not to host videos for. These two videos have entries, but for download, are marked NONE.

really?? but how do you guys view it? i cant seem to find where i click to see it? =/ and what did you mean i can post a youtube link in my video description? where is the video description? or do you mean i go to videos and choose what video im uploading and stuff then in the description i post a link to youtube for the video?

WOW thanks but i got it all figured out anyway awesome tutorial..a really great guide for noobs like me .lol thanks i have posted all my vids on amv announcements please comment take care ,-)
